What is RFID?
RFID (Remote Frequency Identification) include tags that have sensing capabilities to identify
equipment. There are several components that make up RFID but the main focus of Asset VUE is on the tie between RFID, assets and an intelligent database. There are 2 main types of RFID Active (battery) and passive (no battery). Asset VUE is a passive solution which is more cost effective.
Does it interfere with other wireless technology?
No, this technology is very specific to the RFID tags and does not interfere with any other application.
How long does it last?
A passive system can last the lifespan of the equipment. Active solutions require battery replacements periodically.
Will the solution work with exisiting barcodes I may have?
Yes it does.
Will the solution leverage existing information?
Yes, we can leverage existing information to build the database and validate information.
